Description

The Plasmid miniPREP Kit provides a fast and simple method for plasmid DNA isolation from bacterial cells. The alkaline lysis of bacterial cells is followed by the binding of the DNA onto the glass fiber matrix of the spin column in the presence of high salt. Plasmid DNA is then eluted from the column with Tris buffer or water. The entire procedure can be completed within 15-20 minutes. The plasmid DNA purified is suitable for a wide range of applications including restriction enzyme digestion, sequencing, library screening, in vitro translation, transfection, ligation, and transformation.
